  1. The Capacity Building Training of Sanitation Workers in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, held with the support of the Maharashtra Wash Coalition, marked a significant step towards empowering and uplifting the essential workforce responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our communities. The sessions, conducted on November 29th and 30th, 2023, were inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Balasaheb Rajle, Deputy Commissioner of the SWM Department, Shri Bharat Dhande, and Shri Sudhir Potpodhe from the Solid Waste Department of NMMC.
  2. The training sessions were designed and conducted to cover crucial aspects such as the usage of Personal Protective Equipment, communication skills, and the rights and entitlements of sanitation workers. With a total of 55 sanitation workers in attendance, the event served as a platform to equip these dedicated individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out their responsibilities effectively and safely.
  3. Sanitation workers are an integral part of our community, playing a vital role in maintaining public health and environmental cleanliness. This intervention not only acknowledges their invaluable contribution but also aims to benefit them by providing essential training that enhances their safety, communication abilities, and understanding of their rights and entitlements. By empowering sanitation workers with the necessary tools and knowledge, we are not only investing in their well-being but also in the overall health and hygiene of our communities.
