  1. Overview

  2. Health is a cornerstone of holistic development in children and youth, particularly during the formative years of 0-6 and adolescence. By prioritizing physical, mental, and social well-being, we pave the way for optimal growth and fulfilment. Recognizing this, we align our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. Through initiatives focused on nutrition, immunization, access to healthcare, and mental health support, we aim to ensure that every child and adolescent has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a healthier, more equitable world.
  3. The Challenge

  4. Health challenges in India encompass:
  5. Routine Immunization:
Despite national efforts, achieving widespread immunization coverage faces hurdles like vaccine accessibility and hesitancy, impacting public health outcomes.
  6. Primary Healthcare Disparities:
Inadequate primary healthcare infrastructure contributes to the burden on secondary and tertiary services, leading to overcrowding and inefficiencies in healthcare delivery.
  7. Adolescent Anaemia:
The prevalence of anaemia among adolescents, particularly girls, persists due to nutritional deficiencies and limited access to healthcare services and education.
  8. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs):
Changing behaviour and attitudes toward hygiene requires consistent efforts and community engagement. Escalating rates of NCDs, such as diabetes and cardiovascular ailments, underline the urgent need for preventive measures and comprehensive management strategies to curb their impact on public health.
